There is no complete circular tour of the boundary of Knaresborough Forest that can be achieved on public roads today but different sections can be visited and in some cases a modern highway runs more or less parallel to the boundary. In two locations (near Kirkby Overblow and Greenhow) roads that formed parts of the boundary in 1767 are still in use today. The 1767 boundary of Knaresborough Forest is shown in black on the map below.
